Being in a drug trial was just part of my treatment. I found it fascinating to be on the patient side of a drug trial — which is mostly why I did it. As a bioethicist, it was interesting to see all the protections for patients.
I was part of a double-blind test, so I didn’t know if I was getting the drug or not. At the end, I was on the drug, but I didn’t have any additional side-effects.
