Clinical drug trials.. Avastin..

I was in the breast cancer portion of this drug trial.. 

Being in a drug trial was just part of my treatment.  I found it fascinating to be on the patient side of a drug trial — which is mostly why I did it.  As a bioethicist, it was interesting to see all the protections for patients.

I was part of a double-blind test, so I didn’t know if I was getting the drug or not.  At the end,  I was on the drug, but I didn’t have any additional side-effects.
